We specialize in caring for women and children
Women Connection Inc. (WCI) is a faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Houston, Texas. We collaborate with community members to tackle issues such as homelessness, domestic violence, and support for single mothers. Our mission is to foster transformational relationships by offering life-changing resources to women and children in need.
Our History
In 2009, Monique Davis, a visionary leader, embarked on a mission to support homeless women and children by connecting them with essential local resources. As her outreach efforts expanded, so did her network of organizations dedicated to helping these vulnerable populations. In 2016, Ms. Davis took a significant step forward by founding Women Connections Incorporated, a nonprofit established in response to the pressing need for support among homeless women, victims of domestic violence, and single mothers with children in the Houston, Texas area. Fueled by her own experience of overcoming poverty, Ms. Davis is deeply committed to empowering women to break free from cycles of hardship. "We must remember that we've all faced challenges that we had to overcome, and God calls us to be a source of support for others," she emphasizes.
Through strategic collaboration with various organizations, businesses, and individuals, Ms. Davis created a hands-on program that effectively addresses the diverse challenges her clients face. She believes that experiential learning is crucial, especially in difficult situations, as it equips individuals with practical skills and knowledge that empower them to navigate their circumstances more effectively. These strong partnerships have been instrumental in driving transformative change for the women and children involved in WCI's initiatives. Since its inception, WCI has positively impacted over 500 women and children by providing them with housing, food assistance, job preparation, business skills training, health and wellness education, spiritual support, and financial literacy resources. This is just the beginning; looking to the future, WCI plans to acquire a building to expand its capacity to house more women and children in need while offering even more comprehensive services.

WCI’s mission is to empower homeless women and children so that they are enabled to overcome hardships.
We know that through the transformational power of Christ we can change the standard of living for women and children, ending the cycle of poverty in their lives.

What Our Partners Are Saying
“I met the president of this non-profit through my efforts to help the homeless of my area. I have met some of her volunteers as well. All of the people involved with this organization are hard working and dedicated to their cause.
I work with the president coordinating help for her domestic violence victims as well as my homeless people. She and some of her volunteers cook for some of my homeless people. I often pick up donated items for her organization. It is a real team effort.
I know the president works extremely hard to help her clients get their lives turned around. This non-profit is a great example of how non-profits can change the lives of people.”
